LIQUIÇÁ, TIMOR-LESTE — Excitement was high as the Timor-Leste Cricket Board (TLCB) officially hosted its Cricket Across School event at Eskola Bogoroho in Liquiçá, introducing young students to the fundamental skills and spirit of the sport.
The vibrant community event brought together eager young participants for an engaging day of introductory cricket drills, team coaching, and friendly match practice. Led by TLCB instructors, students at Eskola Bogoroho learned key techniques in batting, bowling, and fielding while discovering the values of sportsmanship and teamwork.
This event forms part of TLCB’s ongoing Cricket Across School program, an initiative dedicated to expanding youth participation and building strong cricket foundations across districts throughout Timor-Leste. By bringing structured training and proper equipment directly to schools like Eskola Bogoroho, TLCB aims to discover emerging athletic talent and cultivate a lifelong passion for the game.
