DILI — Demonstrating its commitment to grassroots development, the Timor-Leste Cricket Board (TLCB) organized a high-engagement youth cricket training camp last month in Kaixas Bemori.
The initiative drew a prominent turnout of local children, reflecting growing interest and engagement in the sport across Dili’s suburban communities. Designed for young development players, the intensive sessions focused on fundamental cricket skills, including batting mechanics, bowling discipline, fielding drills, and team play dynamics.
TLCB coaching staff led the training sessions, leveraging structured drills to identify emerging talent while introducing sportsmanship and physical fitness to young participants.

“The overwhelming participation in Kaixas Bemori underscores the tremendous enthusiasm for cricket among our youth,” TLCB stated. “Expanding these regional camps remains central to building a sustainable talent pipeline for our future national programs.”
Following the strong response, TLCB plans to extend similar community outreach initiatives to additional districts in upcoming training cycles.
